1. Decide how you want to organize your Compare / Contrast essay:
By Topic: Paragraphs are about themes/topics and you compare/contrast about each topic you choose
By Similarity/Differences - A paragraph ALL about similarities and a paragraph ALL about differences.
2. Complete graphic organizer for essay (just the "chart" side of the purple handout). NOTE: It's possible your essay organization won't exactly "fit" the chart. Just use the columns YOU need to get your essay ideas down.
You will have next class period AND next week's classtime to work on your essay. Email if you have questions.
